It has been announced by Caesars Entertainment Corporation that it will go ahead with its debut in the Asia-Pacific. The plan is to open up a Caesars Palace Longmu Bay in Hainan, China. This will be Caesars Global Life’s first big venture and it has future plans to create 25 hotels and resort within China over a period of five years, starting off with a five star luxury resort.
Caesars Global Life is a non-gaming division. It deals exclusively with the development of resorts, hotels, villas, residences, retail, and entertainment in locations all over the globe.
Guoxin Longmu Bay Investment Holding
Caesars is working in partnership with a subsidiary of Jiangsu Guoxin Investment Group Limited (JSGX), Guoxin Longmu Bay Investment Holding Co Ltd. JSGX is one of the biggest Chinese investment and development organizations. Its subsidiary is in the process of creating a region for worldwide tourism. The first phase is concentrating on about five square kilometers and the total investment stands at RMB 36 billion. With over RMB three billion set aside for Caesars Palace Longmu, this is planned as the most impressive part of the investment.
Gary Loveman, Caesars Entertainment Chairman, CEO, and President, explained how he was looking forward to working with Guoxin Longmu Bay Investment Holding Co. Ltd. “Caesars Palace Longmu Bay will set a global luxury standard in China and build a foundation for Caesars’ expansion throughout the Asia-Pacific region where our brands and reputation are already our most valuable assets,” he said.
Casino plans
PTW is the lead architect of the project and the design has been heralded as worthy on iconic status. The 1,000 hotel rooms will be developed by world top designers and architects. Besides the best in entertainment, Caesars plans to offer world-class cuisine which will be created by Michelin-rated chefs.
Caesars Palace Longmu Bay is set to include two Colosseum entertainment venues. In these, visitors will be able to enjoy A-list celebrity entertainment as well as production shows. There will also be 36 holes of championship golf and a legendary pro will be in charge of a golfing school. Besides this, there will be a spa, marina, and retail section along with other amenities.
The location will be just as stunning as the casino will be based on China’s west facing shoreline. The design will make sure to take advantage of this and incorporate both water and underwater features.
World-class landmark
The expected date for the opening of Caesars Palace Longmu Bay is set to be 2014. The Vice President of Jiangsu Guoxin Investment Group Limited and Chairman of Guoxin (Hainan) Longmu Bay Investment Company Limited, Jiang Xushen, said that he was confident that Caesars Palace Longmu Bay would be a world-class landmark.
