Gone Gambling Gets a Makeover

Casinomeister.com owner Bryan Bailey recently declared that his site had taken over the Australian gaming portal GoneGambling.com and given it a makeover with some new attractions and features. Established nearly 12 years back, this site has been popular for its great blend of fun and games. It attracted huge numbers of players and big advertisements. The fun-factor will not be compromised in the new look and a virtual amusement park is going to be created. The revamp has been made possible by the technically sound in-house staffers at Casinomeister.com.

Bailey’s team has also ensured that the site will now be open to all modern social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter where members will get the chance to make their own profiles for others to view. Private messaging services vis-à-vis GoneGambling Mail and member profiles are part of this new revamped look, making way for easy use and navigability. Every week, a new game is going to be featured by Souper Onion where members can win many rewards. Members will be kept informed about winners, casino bonuses, and crazy deals.

Sazka Goes Bankrupt

Under pressure from its creditors, Sazka, the Czech lottery firm, has filed for insolvency. The bankrupt company then notified all concerned parties of the development through a public declaration. The Czech sports union own Sazka, and till September 2010, the company had nearly $606 million in debt. The Finance Ministry in charge of regulating the country’s gaming industry investigated into the company’s failure to award lottery prizes in time. Recent reports suggest that it has started making its payments after a private equity group headed by Petr Kellner took charge.

Laws to Legalize Internet Gambling

Michael Gaughan who owns the South Point Hotel in Vegas spoke in favor of legalizing Nevada online poker. Given that online gambling is inevitable, this state should ideally legalize poker. This is contrast to other big Las Vegas entertainers like Caesar’s Entertainment who favor legal online gambling through a federal legal system. Gaughan believes that doing so would help to generate millions of dollars as tax revenue and give birth to greater employment opportunities. This bill came against the backdrop of efforts by other states like Iowa, California, New Jersey, and Florida in favor of intrastate laws.
