Caesars Names General Manager for the Upcoming Observation Wheel

Caesars has been planning the implementation of an observation wheel for quite some time. The wheel will allow visitors to get a great view of the whole of Las Vegas, and will be just another attraction to bring people to the strip in the Las Vegas area. Eric Eberhart, who is a veteran with more than 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry, recently joined Caesars Entertainment, and is set to become the first general manager of the High Roller observation wheel which is going to be built on the Las Vegas strip.

The will is reportedly going to be 550 feet tall and all, and will be there centerpiece of the Linq district, which is currently under construction and is expected to open in late 2013. The Linq district will be home to a host of new retail, dining, and entertainment experiences for visitors to enjoy. An exact date of opening has not yet been announced, but now that they are hiring executive positions, such as the general manager of the upcoming observation wheel, it appears that things are getting closer.

Eberhart spent 26 years with the Walt Disney company, will help with the pre-and post right experience and will help staff the day-to-day operations of the wheel. Most recently, he served as principal at the Florida-based company E CUBED, where he was a leader in operational consulting from concept to design for the entertainment industry.

A recent project that he worked on involved creating innovative approaches to helping guests for all types of environment in entertainment venues, allowing them to filter through the most profitable areas on their way out of an attraction. He was also in charge of implementing and developing arrival procedures and seating for Disney’s California Adventure.

Eberhart also has experience as the vice president of operations, design and development for Mr. Gatti, a company that is based in Austin Texas. The company focused on themed family centers, and helped many businesses to create an environment that both children and adults with love. Eberhart as also held a number of other positions a popular companies including the senior director of operations at the Sundance Film Center.

With the naming of the general manager for the upcoming observation wheel, it appears that the project is being put on the fast track, ready to be released by late 2013. The new district, located just off the Las Vegas strip will give visitors new attractions that they can see when visiting the Las Vegas area, and also allow them to ride the 520 foot diameter observation wheel, which will have 28 glass enclosed cabins which can accommodate up to two people per cabin. It is thought that a single revolution right on the wheel will take individuals up to 30 min. to complete, giving them plenty of time to look at the whole of Las Vegas.

Eberhart appears to have the experience to help them to expertly craft pre-and post ride environments, and also help to ensure that the observation wheel is run.smoothly.
