Dates Of World Series Of Poker Declared For 2011

The dates for the 2011 World Series of Poker (WSOP) have finally been announced. The 42nd annual World Series of Poker is supposed to start its tournament from Tuesday, May 31, 2011. It will run every day until Tuesday, July 19, 2011, with a total schedule of 50 straight days.

The main event has been scheduled to be held on July 7. According to the press release of WSOP, there will be four starting days this year as earlier. The venue for the big event will be Convention Center of the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, like it has been the usual custom since 2005.

About WSOP

The World Series of Poker is one of the biggest poker events held each year. Being the richest and most prestigious gaming event, it awards millions of dollars in the form of prize money along with a prestigious gold bracelet. The gaming event has earned global recognition and its prize money is supposed to be the top prize in overall poker sporting events.
